The perfect light, creamy dessert. Homemade is always the way to go for tiramisu!

Tiramisu is my all time favorite dessert. I usually add extra work by making ladyfingers from scratch, but if using pre-made ladyfingers the rest of this recipe goes very quickly!

Ingredients:

  • 48 ladyfingers, recipe here

  • 8 oz. mascarpone cheese

  • 1 cup espresso or strong coffee, cooled

  • 3 Tbsp. marsala wine

  • 3 egg yolks

  • 1/2 cup powdered sugar, sifted

  • Cocoa powder for dusting

Method:

  1. Whisk sugar and egg yolks together until the mixture becomes smooth and very pale. This is easiest with an electric mixer

  2. Add mascarpone cheese to egg yolks and sugar and whisk just until combined

  3. Combine marsala wine with espresso, then quickly dip one ladyfinger at a time into the coffee mixture and place in a 9x13 dish. Continue until the first layer is complete

  4. Spread half of the cream on top of the ladyfingers, then repeat with another layer of ladyfingers and cream.

  5. Sift cocoa powder on top for decoration

  6. For best results, let sit covered overnight in the fridge (trust me it gets better the next day)
